Discover the best prices on the new GMC Terrain and Acadia 2019 at Christin Automobile in Montreal.

When we talk about crossover vehicles, we generally expect space for both passengers and luggage. At Christin Automobiles, your GM Montreal car dealer, near Repentigny and the South Shore, we understand your needs. In fact, we are now offering a more daring and a lot sharper SUV for the family! The GMC Terrain and the GMC Acadia adopt a brand-new look in 2019 with the Black Edition.

As if these SUVs had not already proven their value in the past, the first American car manufacturer wanted to make these two vehicles even more pleasant, comfortable, powerful and elegant. It's not just about a more dramatic look with black-finished wheels and dark trim, but it's mostly well-coordinated elements that produce the highly balanced package that GM unveiled for both of these SUVs.

Thus, in 2019, the Black Edition of the Terrain and the Acadia adds a good dose of character to the full range of GMC vehicles. It continues the tradition of engineering excellence and innovative features of the GMC brand. In addition, the new models of the special edition emphasize bold lines while offering a rugged body for both the 2019 Terrain and Acadia.

As for the Terrain model, it is offered in SLE or SLT version with 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels. The Black edition of the models adds a dark grille trim and a glossy black finish to the grille surround, which gives it a lot of elegance and strength. Exterior mirror fairing, roof stretchers and other decorative elements as well as optional black GMC emblems also add refinement to the vehicle.

In terms of power, the American manufacturer gives you the choice. First, the vehicle is 180 kilograms lighter than previous models, which allows for a better handling, but also more efficient power. Even more, you'll have the option to go for front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. To go back to the 2019 Terrain, it is offered either with a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with a capacity of 170 horsepower and 203 lb-ft., or a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine capable of producing up to 252 horsepower and 260 lb-ft.

The Black Edition also features high intensity discharge headlamps with distinctive C-shaped lighting, a Traction Select system, leather steering wheel, keyless entry and remote starter, dual-zone automatic temperature control, a fold-flat front passenger seat, heated seats in addition to technological features such as Apple CarPlay® and Android® Auto compatibility, 4 USB ports, teen function, etc. The interior of the SLE Terrain is spacious and can comfortably fit up to seven passengers.

Finally, you will also have your pick of intelligent safety features such as lane departure warning with a sophisticated side obstacle detection system, the StabiliTrack electronic stability control system with traction control, the rear-view camera, the tire monitoring system, etc.

As for the SLT version, Black Edition, it is inspired by the equipment mentioned above, but it will offer you even more high-end features, such as leather seating surfaces, a heated steering wheel, 6 USB ports and an infotainment system, a programmable power hands-free tailgate, a high-definition rear-view camera and much more.

When looking at the 2019 Acadia Black Edition, one will notice similarities to the 2019 Terrain model of the same edition. However, what distinguishes it the most from the previous model is its lightness. Indeed, the 2019 Acadia is 318 kilograms lighter than the older generation, which makes it easier to handle and less energy-consuming on the roads compared to its rivals. The Acadia seats are configured to five, six or seven seats depending on the version you choose. Under the hood, there's a 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder engine that produces 193 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque. In its more advanced versions, such as SLE 2, SLT 1, SLT 2 and Denali, we can count on an IDAB, DACT, VVT 3.6-liter, 6-cylinder engine producing 310 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque. These versions also include a 6-speed automatic overdrive. The 2019 Acadia Black Edition also features fog lights, 20-inch aluminum wheels with black finish trim, and more.

This spacious cabin-style family SUV features SmartSlid® leather seats with perforated leather, a 120V power outlet, a lane departure warning system with side-to-side obstacle detection, rear cross traffic alert, an infotainment system, Bluetooth connectivity, compatibility with Apple CarPlay® and Android® Auto, and more.

All in all, this special edition’s two models have undergone a slimming cure. In addition, the robustness of the platform and the suspension design now better absorb the imperfections of the roads. In short, these two models are more agile on all Quebec, Canada and the United States’ roads. The same goes for parking maneuvers.

So these two SUVs are jewels, and their design shows once again the ingenuity of the American manufacturer. Their daring look, elegance, spacious interior, comfort and power characterize well our two companions.
