The Chevrolet Silverado Goes Electric!

After the announcement of the first electric models of the Ford F-150 and the GMC Hummer, truck enthusiasts were on the lookout. And they were served: the red carpet is now rolling out in front of the mythical Chevrolet Silverado, which is making its entry into the electric vehicle range. Expected to be released in the 2024 model year, the Chevrolet Silverado EV is already promising!

Christin Automobile brings you the latest news on the electrified behemoth. Find at Christin a new inventory of Buick, GMC and Chevrolet vehicles on the Sherbrooke Street East in Montreal, near Repentigny and Laval. Astonishing Electric Capabilities

Based on an all-new platform called "Ultium", the new truck expands the range of possibilities and offers even more power and flexibility. The first version to be released in 2024 will be the RST First Edition. It will be a top-of-the-line model with surprising capabilities.

It will feature an electric motor that develops 660 horsepower and 780 lb-ft of torque. This motorization gives it even more impressive accelerations: the truck can go from 0–100 km/h in only 4 seconds!

Still as muscular as ever, the Chevrolet Silverado EV has a towing capacity of 10,000 lbs. The future WT version, coming in 2025, will be able to tow even heavier loads, up to 20,000 lbs. Gasoline trucks do not measure up!

As for payload, the 5′11″ body can take up to 1,300 lb of cargo. The tailgate can be opened and the rear seats folded down to accommodate objects up to 10 feet long.

Under the hood, there’s no engine, just more cargo space. Versatility is key!

In addition, the truck is equipped with standard or optional four-wheel drive for increased traction in all road conditions. Plus, the optional adaptive suspension allows it to lower and raise by 50 mm when you get off the beaten path.

When it comes to electric vehicles, range is the burning question. In the case of the Chevrolet Silverado EV truck, a single charge will give it up to 640 km. A faster charge will add another 160 km in 10-minute increments.

Inside, the American automaker dazzles you with advanced technology and giant digital screens. The central screen measures no less than 17 inches, while the instrument panel is 11 inches. Integrated Google makes it easier for you to interact with the vehicle, including Google Maps, Google Assistant and Google Play.

The new Ultifi software will also revolutionize your interactions with the vehicle, giving you never-before-seen features; details will follow. To add to the unique experience of this cabin, the first version to be released features a splendid glass roof

Two versions, the WT and RST, will be released in 2025. While more affordable, they include a very powerful engine with 510 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque. Standard technology will include an 11-inch centre screen and 8-inch instrumentation.

The automaker also includes a comprehensive safety assist package as standard to better prevent collisions. As an option, the advanced Super Cruise technology allows you to drive hands-free on 320, 000 km of highways in North America.

All in all, the Chevrolet Silverado EV will be a high-performance electric truck with advanced technologies: stay tuned!
