The Powertrains of the 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Through its four trim levels, we find two different engines for the 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer. 

Inside the Trailblazer LS and LT, we find a 1.3 L turbocharged engine, the same excellent engine available under the hood of the 2024 Trax. It makes 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque, combined with front-wheel drive. 

For the other versions of this SUV, the Trailblazer ACTIV and RS, we’re talking about a 1.3 L turbocharged engine that produces a total of 155 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque. On the spec sheet of these trims, we can see all-wheel drive is available on option.

Since it’s the same powertrains as in 2023, we’re expecting a fuel consumption similar to the previous model. In 2023, the 1.2 L engine offered a combined fuel consumption of 7.8 L/100 km, while the 1.3 L engine went up to 8.4 L/100 km.

Overall, it’s easy to believe that the 2024 Trailblazer will offer a driving experience that’s just as pleasant as its predecessor’s, a vehicle that’s already one of the most versatile entry-level SUVs on the market right now.

Towing Capacity and Cargo Volume of the Trailblazer

Speaking of versatility, it should be noted that this Chevrolet SUV is not only for going out on a ride: It was made to work hard. 

The Trailblazer by Chevrolet demonstrates a maximum towing capacity that can climb up to 1,000 lb when it’s equipped with a trailer hitch. 

Moreover, it offers a 716 L cargo volume behind the rear seat. This cargo volume can reach a maximum of 1,540 L by using all the available space behind the front seats. 

A More Colourful Design

The Trailblazer was already a vehicle that offered a wide selection of colours, but the 2024 model adds two new exterior colours: Cacti Green and Copper Harbour Metallic. In addition, the RS and ACTIV models also offer a two-tone roofline, which allows you to customize your SUV according to your taste. 

Depending on the trim level, you get access to various design elements. If you’re looking for a sportier style, the Trailblazer RS includes:
